EastWind Capital is a privately held investment arm of the Teo Family Trust (WA) which was founded in Western Australia. Several of the Trust's related companies, including EastWind Capital, operate from Singapore with a long-term vision across the Asia-Pacific region.

Singapore serves as the operational hub of EastWind Capital — a strategic base that enables access to Asia’s innovation economy and investment landscape. From this position, the firm aims to build a diversified portfolio of high-quality investments and strategic partnerships across Singapore, Malaysia and Australia in both real estate, and in nurturing AI startups.
The team that overseas the investment and business focus of the Teo Family Trust are: Teo Yew Chye, Qin Yunquan and Nicole Teo. Yew Chye is a retired psychologist and the former Executive Assistant to a number of CEOs and Chairman in the medical and real estate industries. He is also the Principal Founder of the social enterprise, Kapap Academy, which speclalises in teaching ordinary people how to stay safe. As a life long martial artist and self defense expert, Yew Chye founded Kapap Academy in memory of his brother, Moss, who was killed in a street altercation in Johor/ Malaysia.
Yunquan, the recipient of the Queen's Young Leader's Award (2017), has been the CEO of Kapap Academy for about 14 years. A passionate social entrepreneur, Yunquan is also a highly trained martial artist, and a former national wrestler for Singapore. She augments her interest in social entrepreneurship with her love for technology, in particular in the area of Artificial Intelligence. She holds a Master degree in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Bath (UK), and has worked in the technology eco-system for nearly half a decade.
Nicole Teo holds a Doctor of Engineering from the Singapore Management University (SMU) in the field of Artificial Intelligence. Prior to that, she completed a Master degree in Artificial Intelligence with the University of Bath (UK). Her doctoral studies was in the field of reasoning with respect to Large Language Models (LLMs). She is legally the sole trustee of the Teo Family Trust, and works together with Yew Chye and Yunquan to grow the organisation's portfolio of assets and business startups across Asia and within Australia.
